About us

Florida-focused. Florida-owned. Built for homeowners.

The Florida Hurricane Shutter Directory exists because the existing landscape of "find a contractor" sites is built for the lead reseller, not for the homeowner standing in front of a 24-hour storm forecast trying to figure out who to call.

Most national directories don't know the difference between Miami-Dade NOA approval and Florida Product Approval. They don't understand why a Boca Raton waterfront home and an inland Orlando home need different shutter systems. They don't care that the South Tampa house you bought in 2023 sits in a storm-surge zone that hadn't seen a direct hit in 100 years — until Helene and Milton in 2024.

We do. We're a small Florida-based team that has spent enough time with HVHZ permits, NOA datasheets, and OIR-B1-1802 wind mitigation forms to know which contractors actually do this work for a living and which ones are just here to sell your phone number.

Homeowners use the directory for free. Contractors pay a flat annual fee to be listed — and we cap listings per region so we never become a 30-result lead farm. That's it. That's the business.

If you have feedback on a listing, a region we should add, or a contractor you think belongs here, we'd like to hear from you.
